As I approached The Coniston Hotel on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales, I noticed a few specks of rain on my windscreen – and from then on I don’t think it stopped raining all day. But a little bad weather wasn’t going to stop this couple, and their guests, having an amazing day.
Some couples understandably get a little nervous on their wedding day, it is after all the result of a lot of planning and preparation – as well as being a life changing event. If Chris and Stephanie were nervous they weren’t showing it, they seemed very relaxed an excited by the whole day.
This sense of fun carried on throughout the day – including Chris’ rugby playing groomsmen deciding that if a bride can throw a bouquet, they can throw the groom – thank goodness the ceiling in that conservatory was tall enough. The best man stole the show at the speeches with the shocking revelation that “Steph and Chris were indeed expecting….” the room gasped, “….everyone to have a great evening.”
In the evening the fun stepped up a gear and as the band and the DJ set up. This was going to be one heck of a party. It may have ‘stair rodded’ as they would say locally, but this didn’t dampen the spirits of a wedding full of fun and a lot of love.
