Nikki and Paul’s wedding

After meeting Nikki and Paul for their pre-wedding shoot I knew that their actual wedding day at Holdsworth House Hotel was going to be fun and unpredictable. Nothing quite prepared me though for meeting Nikki that morning, with her stunning bright red hair. The theme of red then followed through to the flowers, table decorations and the attire of many the guests – a very striking wedding indeed.

Holdsworth House is a very striking venue and you couldn’t ask for a setting with more history and character. The the impeccably manicured gardens provided a very striking backdrop to many of the outdoor photos. You may even recognise the house as a filming location for Last Tango in Halifax.

The ceremony and wedding breakfast were followed by some very emotional speeches, and a light hearted moment where Paul made a valiant attempt at speaking ‘all southern like’ – a brave geezer indeed.

I always like to stay a bit longer after the first dance for when people relax – and at this wedding people didn’t waste any time in getting on that dance floor! Thank you Nikki and Paul, it was a pleasure shooting your wedding.
